  4. ClassBrowser
  5.  
  6. ClassBrowser is a Presentation Manager based SOM/WPS browser. It does not need
  7. to be registered nor does it need an already installed Toolkit.
  8.  
  9. Please open an OS/2 command window. To create a directory on your harddisk use
  10. the MD (MakeDirectory) command. E.g.:
  11.  
  12.    MD C:\HWI
  13.  
  14. This will create a directory called HWI on your harddisk C:. Now change the
  15. current directory location:
  16.  
  17.    CD C:\HWI
  18.  
  19. Please insert the ClassBrowser disk into the drive that does support 3 1/2"
  20. disks. Copying the files is that easy:
  21.  
  22.    XCOPY A:\*.* C:\HWI\*.*
  23.  
  24. If your disk drive for 3 1/2" disks has a different name than A: please change
  25. that name in the command shown above.
  26.  
  27. ClassBrowser will copy the following files onto your system:
  28.  
  29.    HWICLASS.EXE - the ClassBrowser
  30.    HWICLASS.HLP - the ClassBrowser help system
  31.    HWICLASS.TXT - the ClassBrowser README (this file)
  32.    HWIC.DLL     - generic DLLs. If you own other products from me,
  33.    HWI3.DLL       these will contain these files too. You should always take
  34.                   the latest one (date/time). The size of these modules is NOT
  35.                   important.

  37. Create a Program object for ClassBrowser with the help of the Program template.
  38. The entries should be as follows:
  39.  
  40.    Filename:  C:\HWI\HWICLASS.EXE
  41.    Directory: C:\HWI
  42.    
  43. The directory entry is needed because of the DLLs that belong to the
  44. ClassBrowser.
  45.  
  46. After successful installation you should be able to start ClassBrowser
  47. immediately without reboot. If it does not start, please check that your
  48. LIBPATH entry in the file called CONFIG.SYS does contain the ;.; (colon).

  82. The following Shareware applications from me are available as Shareware. I
  83. would suggest to place all my products in one directory. Because all my
  84. products share a common code base, it will save you lots of RAM and a huge
  85. amout of disk space when doing so:

  87. ClassBrowser

  90. ClassBrowser is a PM based SOM/WPS class browser that doesn't need any
  91. registration in SOM because it's an EXE. It shows much more information
  92. about the classes than any other SOM/WPS class browser. ClassBrowser is
  93. Warp optimized and will not run on releases before Warp. ClassBrowser is
  94. Shareware registration ID 4284.

  96. SyslevelEditor
  97. ---------------

  99. SyslevelEditor is a PM based tool to create new, and to modify and view
  100. existing Syslevel files. SyslevelEditor shows much more information about
  101. the contents of Syslevel files than any other Syslevel Editor. SyslevelEditor
  102. is Warp optimized and will not run on releases before Warp. SyslevelEditor is
  103. Shareware registration ID 4334.

  105. WPS Class Collection 1
  106. ----------------------
  107.  
  108. The WPS Class Collection 1 contains various WPS classes for home and business
  109. users. These classes can be added and removed with the ClassBrowser (see
  110. above). The classes put their data into the system INI files and have an exit
  111. mechanism for DeskMan/2. DeskMan/2 users can save the privat class data of
  112. these classes. The following classes can be found in that package:

  114.  HWIAdr   - Address Class
  115.  HWIAdrF  - AddressFolder Class
  116.  HWIAdrRF - AdressReferenceFolder Class
  117.  HWIKon   - Contact Class
  118.  HWIKonF  - ContactFolder Class

  120. All classes can be dropped on any place within your private Desktop hierarchie.
  121. The HWICC1.TXT file does contain some hints and tips how to set up a WPS aware
  122. Desktop hierarchie.
